Lots of weird dreams today and woke up in a sweat. Immediately after I started to think about some compiler directives to directly emit code on the backend, just flat out byte insertion. At the moment the only backend is C. You can do something like this:

This way we can build the main output to avoid using libc and only include headers and support functions in our own stdlib when needed, depending on the platform we are targeting. Wont add this until full self hosting is done, but I think its pretty practical, sort of a macro assembler.
