i haven't made an introduction post yet, so i guess that is the first thing to do!
i'm martin, also know as polymorphic engine. i got into live coding after a friend told me about algorave on a beautiful hike in 2019. i really got into tidal (thanks yaxu!) and was studying logic & computation at the time, so i took some haskell courses, which allowed me to contribute. i did a haskell summer of code with alex, basically about making a fully packaged tidal that doesn't require haskell to be installed. after some successes, i got quite stuck and it's still pretty much an open problem (maybe not so important anymore since there are excellent installers now).
after finishing my studies, i did a really awesome erasmus internship with Julian Rohrhuber, developer of the og JITlib and SuperDirt. during that time we started working on a supercollider version of tidal, with a slightly different representation of time (think crystals and refractions!). out of this came an implementation of the eso&uzulang zwirn, where every expression of the language is a signal, which allows you to *pattern everything*!! (more about zwirn hopefully soon :) )
now i started another master's degree in experimental game cultures at the university of applied arts here in vienna. here, i'm mostly researching into relationships between live coding and games.
